Mini crane rental: maximum lifting power in the tightest spaces
When conventional crane systems reach their limits, the mini crane comes into its own. At Luibl Rental, we offer you specialised solutions for lifting tasks in confined areas, on sensitive ground or indoors. A mini crane, often also called a mini crawler crane or spider crane, combines enormous load capacity with extremely compact transport dimensions.
Why rent a mini crane?
The decision to rent a mini crane is usually driven by the structural conditions on site. Thanks to their low dead weight and variable outriggers, these machines can be used on intermediate floors, in backyards or even in industrial halls that are inaccessible to mobile cranes. Luibl Rental provides you with state-of-the-art technology that enables millimetre-precise work.
Maeda rental – market leader in mini crawler cranes
When professionals rent a mini crawler crane, the choice often falls on the Maeda brand. These cranes are regarded in the industry as proven and reliable. At Luibl Rental, we carry a wide selection of Maeda models that impress with their reliability and technical finesse.
A key advantage of renting a Maeda is the versatility of the drive concepts. Many of our models have an electric or hybrid drive. In electric mode, this enables work without local emissions in enclosed buildings or noise-sensitive areas such as hospitals and residential areas. The intuitive controls also ensure that even complex lifting operations can be carried out safely and efficiently.
Technical specifications and attachments
A mini crane from Luibl Rental is more than just a simple lifting device. With various specifications and attachments, we adapt the machine precisely to your project requirements:
-
Floor protection: our mini crawler cranes are equipped with rubber tracks that leave no marks even on high-quality industrial floors.
-
Vacuum lifter: for glazing work, the cranes can be combined with glass vacuum lifting systems to place heavy panes precisely in facades.
-
Fly jib: additional boom extensions can be fitted to extend the reach and overcome obstacles.
-
Precision: the sensitive radio remote control allows the operator to control the load from the optimum perspective, which significantly increases safety on site.
Glass installation in urban areas
In a demanding project in a densely built-up city centre, a 500 kg glass pane had to be replaced on the third floor of a rear building. A conventional crane would have blocked the access and exceeded the load-bearing capacity of the ground.
The Luibl Rental solution: a Maeda mini crawler crane. The machine was manoeuvred through a narrow gateway less than one metre wide. Thanks to the variable spider legs, the crane could be set up stably despite the uneven ground. Using a vacuum lifter, the installation was completed safely within a few hours – without expensive road closures.
Renting a mini crane instead of buying – economical and flexible
Buying a mini crane involves high investment costs and is usually only worthwhile with permanent utilisation. Renting offers decisive advantages:
-
No capital tied up
-
No maintenance or repair costs
-
Flexible rental period – from a few days to a long-term solution
-
Always access to modern technology
This keeps you flexible and lets you calculate your projects efficiently.
Delivery throughout the Netherlands and tailored project solutions
Whether the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland or other European countries – Luibl Rental delivers mini cranes promptly and reliably to your work location with its own low-loader fleet. On request, you can also receive combined offers with other machines such as aerial work platforms or telehandlers.
No project is too small or too large: from glass facade installation to machinery relocation – Luibl Rental works with you to develop the right rental solution. You will find further crane models in our crane overview.
How much does it cost to rent a mini crane?
The rental price depends on load capacity, radius, drive and rental period. What matters is not the maximum load capacity, but the load at the radius you actually need – a crane that lifts 3 tonnes directly at the mast manages only a fraction of that at full radius.
- Machine class: from the compact machine that fits through a standard door to the large crawler crane for facade and steel construction projects.
- Drive: models with electric drive for indoor operation without local emissions, combustion engines or combinations for outdoor use.
- Attachments: glass vacuum lifters, load hooks, spreader beams and radio remote control are added separately.
- Rental period: daily, weekly and monthly rates are tiered.
- Transport: delivered by low-loader to your site, shown separately.
The rate includes an inspected machine with valid inspection documentation, maintenance during the rental period and technical advice on sizing. Tell us the load weight, radius, lift height, access situation and ground bearing capacity – and you will receive an itemised quote.
For glazing work, we combine mini crane and vacuum technology in one delivery; background information can be found in the guide Mini crane and vacuum lifter in glazing work. Larger loads with free access are handled by the mobile crane.
