The success of complex construction projects and industrial installations depends to a large extent on the availability of the right lifting equipment. When you rent cranes from Luibl Rental, you choose a partner that combines technical expertise with logistical precision. Our fleet includes specialised solutions that go far beyond standard applications - from compact mini cranes for confined indoor spaces to powerful mobile cranes for heavy loads.

Mobile cranes

Maximum flexibility through specialised crane types

The requirements on modern sites are as varied as the projects themselves. Luibl Rental offers you a wide range of rental cranes tailored precisely to your specific operating conditions. Our mini cranes (spider cranes) are indispensable, especially in urban areas or for renovation projects in halls. These machines stand out for their extremely compact design and their ability to position loads precisely even with low ground pressure.

For conventional building projects or rapid deployment for loading work, we offer mobile crane technology. It impresses with short set-up times and high mobility between different job locations. Our experts at Luibl Rental support you from the planning phase in calculating the required load capacity and radius, so that we can provide the most efficient machine for your needs.

Technical insights: equipment and specifications

A rental crane from Luibl Rental is more than just a lifting aid; it is a state-of-the-art piece of work equipment. Many of our models have innovative features such as radio remote control, which allows the operator to control the load from the optimum perspective. This not only increases precision when placing components to the millimetre, but also significantly improves workplace safety.

We also offer an extensive range of attachments and accessories. These include vacuum lifters for glazing work, special heavy-duty hooks and crane forks. Thanks to electric drives with no local emissions on many of our compact cranes, they can also be used without difficulty in enclosed spaces or noise-sensitive areas such as hospitals or residential areas.

Case study: precision installation in glass facade construction

A recent project illustrates the capabilities of our rental fleet. A facade construction customer faced the challenge of installing large glass panes on an office complex in Passau city centre. Space was extremely limited, which made it impossible to use a large mobile crane.

Luibl Rental supplied a crawler mini crane including a glass vacuum lifter. Thanks to the tracked undercarriage, the crane could be positioned directly on the already finished but sensitive floor covering. The precise hydraulic control enabled the team to fit the panes, weighing over 500 kg, into the rail system safely and efficiently. By renting from Luibl Rental, the schedule was met despite the confined space.

Safety and maintenance: trust in Luibl Rental quality

Safety is the top priority when renting cranes. Every machine in our fleet is subject to the strictest checks. We guarantee that all cranes have a current periodic inspection of work equipment under the Working Conditions Decree. Before every delivery, our workshop specialists also carry out a thorough function check.

We also recommend that our customers use suitable PPE (personal protective equipment) and point out the need for qualified operators. Luibl Rental sees itself not just as a rental company, but as a safety partner for your business.

Mobile crane or mini crane? Three questions to help you decide

  1. Can a vehicle reach the work point? If access is clear and the ground has sufficient bearing capacity, the mobile crane is the fastest solution - short set-up times, high load capacity, large radius. If access is blocked, only the mini crane will do.

  2. What can the ground bear? Mini cranes distribute their weight via tracked undercarriages and variable outriggers and can therefore work on intermediate floors, in courtyards and on finished floor coverings. A mobile crane needs ground with sufficient bearing capacity and space for its outriggers.

  3. Does lifting have to be done indoors? Many compact cranes are available with electric drive and therefore work with no local emissions - in halls, hospitals and noise-sensitive areas, this is often the only permitted option.

If the load capacity is sufficient and the load also has to be moved horizontally, sometimes no crane is needed at all: a telehandler with a load hook covers many lifting tasks more economically.

What does it cost to rent a crane?

Crane hire cannot be priced as a flat rate - besides the machine itself, effort and price depend on set-up time, outrigger area, radius and operation. These factors determine the quote:

  • Load capacity and radius: it is not the maximum load capacity that counts, but the load at the radius actually required. Both belong in every enquiry.
  • Crane type: mini cranes and mobile cranes fall into different classes; within mobile cranes, the rate increases with capacity class and boom length.
  • Attachments: vacuum lifters for glazing work, heavy-duty hooks, crane forks and radio remote control are calculated separately.
  • Rental period: from daily hire to long-term terms; with longer rental periods, the calculated daily rate falls.
  • Transport and set-up: delivered by low-loader to your site, shown separately according to distance, weight and access.

Included are an inspected machine with a valid periodic inspection of work equipment under the Working Conditions Decree, maintenance during the rental period and technical advice - our specialists calculate the required load capacity and radius with you. You can find more about inspection obligations in the guide Periodic inspection of cranes. The full range is available in the rental fleet.

FAQ: crane rental

chevronDown

Mobile crane or mini crane - which do I need?

If access is clear and the ground has sufficient bearing capacity, the mobile crane is the fastest solution: short set-up times, high load capacity and long outreach. If access is blocked, the ground is sensitive or the work takes place inside a building, there is no way around the mini crane.

What load capacity do I really need?

It is not the maximum load capacity that matters, but the load at the radius actually required. A crane that lifts several tonnes close to the mast manages only a fraction of that at full radius. So always state the weight and the distance to the working point.

How often does a crane need to be inspected?

Cranes are inspected periodically under the Working Conditions Decree and in line with applicable Dutch health and safety rules. Certain crane types also require additional inspections by an expert body. For rental machines, Luibl Rental bears this inspection obligation - you receive the machine with valid inspection documentation.

Can a crane be used indoors?

Yes, with a mini crane. Many compact cranes are available with electric drive and therefore operate without local emissions. Combined with rubber tracks and variable outriggers, they can be used on finished floor coverings and on mezzanine floors.

Is a crane operator provided?

Mention your requirements when you enquire. For many jobs, operation by your own qualified staff is possible; for larger mobile cranes, it is customary for a crane operator to be provided. The qualification requirements depend on the type of crane and the job.

Which attachments are available?

Vacuum lifters for glazing, heavy-duty hooks, spreader beams, crane forks and radio remote control. The remote control lets you guide the load from the best viewing position – increasing precision when setting down and occupational safety.

What does the ground need to withstand?

That depends on the crane type, load and outrigger set-up. Mobile cranes need load-bearing ground and space for the outriggers, while mini cranes distribute their weight much better. Clarify the ground bearing capacity and access situation before your enquiry - this often already determines the crane type.

Do I actually need a crane?

Not always. If a load has to be lifted and moved horizontally at the same time, a telehandler with a load hook covers many tasks more cheaply. Only when height, outreach or weight go beyond that is the crane the right machine.
