Niftylift aerial work platform rental - maximum outreach with minimum weight

Niftylift has specialised in one feature that makes the decisive difference on urban sites, in parks and in sensitive indoor areas: minimum dead weight with maximum working height. Where other aerial work platforms damage the ground, block access routes or make transport a problem, Niftylift offers a well-engineered answer. Luibl provides this specialist technology as rental equipment - inspected, with a personal briefing and delivery throughout the Netherlands.

Why Niftylift? The experts in lightweight and hybrid technology

Niftylift consistently develops aerial work platforms according to one principle: as light as possible, as powerful as necessary. The result is machines that deliver three advantages at once that often conflict with each other at other manufacturers:

Low ground pressure: Niftylift models are among the lightest in their working height class. For surfaces with limited load-bearing capacity - paving slabs, lawns, older warehouse floors - this is not a comfort feature but a technical precondition for using the machine at all.

Compact transport dimensions: Trailer-mounted platforms of the Nifty series fit on a standard trailer and are towed with a category BE licence. Self-propelled models of the Height Rider series are designed for urban sites with narrow access and limited set-up space - transport widths below 1.20 m are standard on several models.

Green Machine / Bi-Energy drive: Niftylift hybrid models combine diesel and electric drive in one system (Bi-Energy). The electric motor takes over indoors, at trade fairs and in emission-sensitive environments - with no conversion and no separate charger for every situation. The diesel engine provides the range for outdoor work. One machine, two environments.

Niftylift trailer-mounted platforms - flexibility on the tow hitch

Trailer-mounted platforms of the Nifty series are the most economical solution for projects where mobility and easy transport matter. No low-loader required, no special transport - a car with a tow bar and a category BE licence is enough.

Nifty 120T

  • Working height: 12 m
  • Outreach: up to 6.5 m
  • Dead weight: approx. 1,250 kg
  • Drive: electric (mains-independent via on-board battery)
  • Application scenario: facade work on residential buildings, installing lighting in car parks, cleaning glass facades. The low weight allows use on paving slabs without ground protection mats.

Nifty 170T

  • Working height: 17 m
  • Outreach: up to 8.7 m
  • Dead weight: approx. 2,100 kg
  • Drive: diesel or Bi-Energy
  • Application scenario: for tree care work in a city park with a sensitive lawn, the Nifty 170T was used because its low dead weight and wide-spreading outriggers prevented damage to roots and turf - where a heavy articulating boom lift could not have been used.

Both models are equipped with a telescopic upper boom that provides outreach without repositioning the machine. The articulating telescopic boom bridges obstacles such as hedges, barriers and fences without moving the machine.

Self-propelled articulating boom lifts (Height Rider series)

The Height Rider series is Niftylift's answer to urban sites and indoor installation: self-propelled, narrow, quiet and with full IPAF classification for professional use.

HR 12 (Height Rider 12)

  • Working height: 12 m
  • Transport width: 0.99 m
  • Dead weight: approx. 1,950 kg
  • Drive: electric
  • Application scenario: installing a sprinkler system in a logistics centre with narrow aisles. The transport width of less than 1 m allows the machine to drive in without dismantling rack sections.

HR 17 (Height Rider 17)

  • Working height: 17 m
  • Transport width: 1.19 m
  • Dead weight: approx. 2,750 kg
  • Drive: Bi-Energy (diesel + electric)
  • Application scenario: warehouse roof inspection and ventilation installation, alternating between outdoors and indoors. The Bi-Energy drive switches between diesel (driving to the hall) and electric (working in the hall) without conversion.

HR 21 (Height Rider 21)

  • Working height: 21 m
  • Outreach: up to 12 m
  • Drive: Bi-Energy
  • Application scenario: facade work on commercial buildings with urban access restrictions. The combination of 21 m working height and a transport width below 1.5 m makes the machine usable on tight inner-city sites where standard machines cannot go.

All Height Rider models carry IPAF classification 3b (self-propelled articulating boom lift) - a prerequisite for professional use in line with applicable Dutch health and safety rules.

Can I collect a Niftylift trailer-mounted platform myself?

Yes. Niftylift trailer-mounted platforms can also be collected by the customer, subject to logistics availability. Requirements:

  • Category BE licence for trailers up to 3,500 kg maximum authorised mass - sufficient for the Nifty 120T and 170T

  • Towing vehicle with sufficient towing capacity: at least the model's dead weight as the permitted towing capacity in the vehicle registration document

  • Approved tow bar and working trailer lights: required for use on public roads under Dutch traffic rules

  • Briefing: at every handover - including self-collection - Luibl provides a documented operator briefing

For delivery by Luibl low-loader: delivery throughout the Netherlands, short-notice appointments available.

What is the SioS system on Niftylift machines?

SioS stands for Sustained Involuntary Operation Prevention System - an active safety system that prevents unintended continuous operation of the controls.

The problem without SioS: in the basket, an operator can unintentionally press the control lever due to entrapment, fainting or loss of balance - and the machine keeps moving out of control. SioS detects continuous operation without active confirmation by the operator and stops the movement automatically.

Practical relevance:

  • Tree care work with restricted freedom of movement in the basket

  • Work in halls with a risk of falling due to obstacles

  • Single-person operation without a banksman on the ground

SioS is fitted as standard on all current Niftylift Height Rider models in the Luibl rental fleet. It does not replace IPAF training, but actively reduces the risk in unforeseen situations.

Applications: where Niftylift platforms play to their strengths

Inner-city sites: narrow access, paving slabs with limited load-bearing capacity, night work with noise restrictions. Electric drive and low ground pressure meet all three requirements at the same time.

Landscaping and tree care: lawns, uneven ground, root zones. The low dead weight of the Nifty series prevents soil compaction and ground damage - the decisive advantage over heavy diesel articulating boom lifts.

Facility management and maintenance: sprinklers, ventilation and lighting in production halls and logistics centres. Narrow transport width, electric operation, non-marking tyres - all the prerequisites for indoor use without extra effort.

Event technology and exhibition stand construction: exhibition halls with floor load limits, short set-up times, no exhaust emissions indoors. Niftylift models meet the hall regulations of major trade fair organisers without special permits.

Facade work: trailer-mounted platforms of the 120T/170T class achieve outreach with the telescopic upper boom that is unusual for this machine class. One set-up point, several work areas - less manoeuvring on tight plots.
